1.1 Seller's Market of ERW Settlement

1. l. I. Production status of ERW casing abroad

The production of foreign ERW casing is the same as its use, and it is roughly divided into three stages:

The first stage is the start of production and testing of ERW casing.

At the same time, the first country to produce ERW casing is the United States. As early as the early 1960s, with the advancement of high-frequency induction welding technology, computer dynamic control technology, and multi-probe non-destructive testing, the quality of ERW casing It can be guaranteed, and it has been tried to use because of its stable quality and low price. But limited to the level of steel smelting and processing at that time, the products were limited to low-grade H40 and J55 casings, and most of them were only used as surface casings, and were only used in shallow wells. The production of ERW casing was not large.

The second stage is the mass production and manufacturing stage of ERW casing. With the improvement of ultra-pure smelting technology and controlled rolling technology,

The success of the 80-grade plate test led to a rapid increase in the amount of ERW casing. Japan, Dezheng, etc. began to build a large number of ERW casing production lines. In the early 1980s, 42 companies (T plants) in 17 countries around the world produced ERW tubing and casing. Its towels: 16 Meitong, Japan 4. There are 3 in Italy, Canada and Mexico, and 2 in Germany. In 1996, the world produced about 70 X 104 t of ERW tubing and casing, accounting for 22% of the total tubing and casing production that year. The tubing and casing produced by ERW steel pipes in the United States accounted for more than 40% of the total. The relevant Japanese authorities believe that , 76.8% of tubing casing can be produced with ERW steel pipe. The mature steel grades of ERW sleeves at this stage include H40, J55, N80 and L80.

The third stage is the development stage of ERW casing to special purpose casing. With its advantages of good performance, high precision, and low cost, ERW casing has gradually developed into special purpose casing, such as high-resistance casing, high-strength casing, and high-resistance H2S casing. In addition to the mature API steel grades, there are also a series of non-API steel grades, such as Japan's Sumitomo Metal's SM-E series, Nippon Steel's NT-E series and Milong's Long Star's LS series. Among them, the SM-E series includes GE group for ordinary and deep wells, TE group for high compression casing, SE group for wells containing S, TSE group for high compression and S wells, and LE group for low temperature wells. Wait.

At present, foreign manufacturers with high level of ERW casing manufacturing include Long Star in the United States, Nagoya Steel Works of Nippon Steel, and Sumitomo Metal Wakayama Steel Works. Among them, Long Star has the highest level and can produce Q125, LS125 and LS140 steel grade ERW casing (full-tube quenching and tempering heat treatment). The highest steel grades of Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal's ERW oil well pipe are NT95HE and SM95ESE respectively.

1.1.2 Production status of domestic ERW casing

The production of longitudinal seam welded casing in my country began in the early 1990s. The Baoji Petroleum Steel Pipe Plant under China National Petroleum Corporation introduced advanced PMC production technology and equipment from the United States, and built the first J55 with an annual production capacity of 10 X 104 t. Steel-grade surface casing production line. In 2001, the factory established a joint venture with Japan's Sumitomo Metal Co., Ltd. to establish Baoji Sumikin Steel Pipe Co., Ltd., and introduced advanced Japanese management experience to make the annual output exceed 7 X 104 t for the first time, and the product quality has also been improved. Widely recognized by oilfield users, considerable economic benefits have been achieved.

At present, only Baoji Sumikin Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. is capable of mass production of J55 steel-grade surface casing. However, for the N80 steel-grade casing, which is the most demanded in the market, it is still unable to produce domestically, which restricts the large-scale promotion and application of ERW casing in China. 3.2 Buyer's market for ERW casing

1.2.1 Domestic market demand for ERW casing

In recent years, my country's annual oil output has been around 1.6 X 108 t, and the output of natural gas has also increased rapidly. The output in 2001 has reached 294 x 108 m3. In my country, 5000-6000 wells are drilled every year, with a footage (2000-2500) x 104 m. With the further deepening of oil and gas well depths, the average index of oil well pipe consumption per meter of footage has increased from 50 kg/m to 54 kg/m. Therefore, domestic oil well pipe consumption is increasing year by year. See Table 5 for details.

At present, the annual demand for casing in the country is about 80 X 104 t, of which the demand for surface casing is (11-13) X 104 t. The proportion of ERW casing consumption in the total casing consumption in developed countries has exceeded

50%. According to the same proportion in China, the annual demand for ERW casing will gradually reach about 40 X 104 t. The potential market of domestic ERW casing is considerable.

1.2.2 Status Quo of Demand for Casing in Shengli Oilfield

From 1997 to 2∞3, the demand for casing, the number of completions and the total footage in Shengli Oilfield are shown in Table 6. About 1,000 to 1,500 wells are completed each year, with an average footage of about 2200 m/hole.

In 2003, the main supply channels of Shengli Oilfield casing were: seamless casing was 5 X 104 t from the Power Machinery Plant of the Oilfield, 5 X 104 t from Tianjin Pipe and Shanghai Baosteel; ERW surface casing from Baoji Zhujin Steel Pipe 1 X 104 t, imported Casing 2 X 104 t.

At present, the casing used in Shengli Oilfield uses partial ERW casing (more than 10,000 tons per year) for the surface casing, and the rest are fully fractured casing. In the casing consumption, from the perspective of specifications, the oil layer casings of φ139.75 mm (5.5 in) and φ177.8 mm (7 in) account for the largest proportion; from the perspective of steel grade, J55 and N80 have the largest number. Followed by PlIO and so on. It is estimated that the annual demand for N80 steel grade ERW casing in Shengli Oilfield will gradually reach more than 6 X 104 t.
